Madrid dance troop Danza Down enchants audiences with
classical ballet, traditional Spanish dance and musical theatre performances.
What makes this dance troop special is that all of the dancers in the troop
have Down Syndrome.
Under the nurturing and patient tutelage of Director Elias Lafuente, children and adults with Down Syndrome blossom, gain confidence and develop a love of music and dance.
This is a short from a longer documentary we are working on.

"As sure as
the world is round, everyone can dance."
It is good to know that there are still individuals in this world who believe in the unlimited potential and beauty in everything and everyone around them. Thank you for sharing.

The dancers
enjoy it and you can tell... Is like Ronaldinho back when he enjoyed playing
soccer... That was something.
This is a story
that needs to be told. It is a beautiful tale of accomplishment by and
determination of both dancers and teachers. Apart from the excellent subject
matter, the camera work, lighting and editing were professional and emotive.
Well done!
How wonderful to
see these people dancing and to see how it enriches their life...A wonderful
film.. Everyone should see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome!
this makes me
think why we even worry about what's going on in the world today. this film
should be shown
to all to teach us life's true lessons on what really matters. The filmmaker captured the true spirit of the dancers and their zest for life!! Who was the guitarist at the end of the film??? Thanks for creating this film! I can't wait to share it with my children.

Beautiful...............great
program !! Thanks for sharing.
What a relevant
and uplifting video. Way to bring light to incredible people with incredible
gifts. There isn't much inspiration on TV these days. This was inspirational!
Kudos to you and the troup! :-)
A story of true
beauty. The world's idea of perfection is so different than God's. He created
all things/people in His perfect image. This documentary portrays this truth
magnificently.
A very moving
film... Thank you for sharing this with us!

it's a pure ode
to the joy of dance.
truly touching
and beautifully filmed...a story that needs to be shared that shows how
important it is to everyone to 'stop feeling invisible'...
I like the way
the camera looks at those dancers. It is a genuine glance on those children,
showing them as they are. I thought about the though time the parents have
bringing up those children and how much strength you must have as a parent of a
child with down syndrome. The film doesn't try to make things nicer than they
really are (nothing looks artificial here) unlike some commercials with down
syndrome children try to do. And at the end the result is so positive. What a
great and generous teacher. I liked this film for its nakedness.
Great upload
here... THought i'd also clip Jellyfishsmack's pod, another fantastic piece
about the power of dancing.
I have two
cousins with Down Syndrome and they participate in a similar program in my
hometown. However their program is centered more towards teaching people with
Down Syndrome about sports. This is a truly touching story. Good job.
